Trunk Stabilization
Trunk stabilization or “core strengthening” came into being in the 1980s. Michael has refined his approach since then. Key features are the recognition of muscle imbalance patterns that if not corrected will perpetuate the condition and understanding that trunk stabilization exercises are neural re-education vs. “huff and puff”—they must be done “perfectly.”
